Last day of our Alpe d’Huez to Italy tour took us from our overnight base in Molines en Queyras back to our base in Bourg d’Oisans via the Col d’Izoard, Col du Lautaret and finally the Col du Galibier.

Todays ride was meant to take in stage 18 of the 2011 Tour de France over the Col d’Agnel, Col d’Izoard, Col du Lautaret and the Col du Galibier from Pinerolo – however due to the Col d’Agnel being shut we drove to the top of the Col de Sestrier before dropping down to Briançon…
We started in Valoires today as part of La Marmotte Tour took in the Col du Galibier from the north before heading down the Col du Lautaret for lunch in Briançon. After a fantastic lunch in Briançon a few of us headed up the Col d’Izoard before returning to Briançon and our overnight stay.
We will be covering the huge stage of Pinerolo to the Col du Galibier over 2 days as part of our Alpe d’Huez to Italy tour. Day 1 will take in the Col du Glandon and the Col de la Croix de Fer. On Day 2 we ride over Alpe d’Huez and the Col de Sarenne…
