Holiday Terms and Conditions

More Than 21 Bends is a trading name of Fugieres all references to More Than 21 Bends apply equally to Fugieres and vis versa.

Please read these conditions carefully and retain for future reference. We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time, without direct reference to you, so you should check them regularly as the terms and conditions as set out below at any one time form part of the contract between us. A contract exists once you have submitted your booking and we have confirmed the booking and received payment of your deposit.

Booking and Payment

All bookings and payments are to be made on-line via the website. The person making the booking guarantees payment to us of the total cost of the holiday booked and does so on behalf and with the consent of all others for whom the booking is made. A payment of a 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. Please note that the balance is due in full 10-16 weeks before your arrival date. If you are booking within 10-16 weeks of your arrival date payment in full is due on booking. Failure to pay the balance by the due date will be considered a cancellation on your part and we reserve the right to impose cancellation charges and cancel your reservation.


Your Booking Schedule sets out for you all that is included in the cost of your holiday. Rates are subject to change without notice but will not change once your balance payment has been received.

 Changes to your booking

In the event that you need to change your booking please notify us at your earliest opportunity, wherever possible we will try to accommodate changes and issue a new booking schedule subject to an administration fee of 50.00EUR. If we are unable to accommodate the change and you cancel your booking then cancellation charges will apply. In the event that we have to make a change to your booking we will endeavour to offer an alternative for you. If it is not possible to find an alternative, we will refund all sums paid by you to us and this will be the only obligation or liability of Fugieres to you in such circumstances. Changes to itineraries, overnight locations or routes will be communicated to you as soon as possible but will not materially change your holiday and no compensations will be payable. We also reserve the right to add to the price of any booking a Tour de France ,La Marmotte or Etape du Tour supplement should the event come to town during the period of a booking to which no supplement was applied at the time of booking.

Cancellation charges

Subject to these terms and conditions if you wish to cancel a booking of seven days or more you must do so in writing. Notice of cancellation is subject to an administration fee of 50.00EUR. Charges for the cancellation of your booking are as follows: notification received + 10 weeks to arrival date loss of deposit, 6-10 weeks 80% of the holiday cost is due, 0-6 weeks 100% of the holiday cost is due and no refund can be made. No refunds will be made on holidays incorporating events such as the Tour de France, La Marmotte, Megavalanche and Alpe d’Huez Triathlon once the full balance has been paid. Where your reservation is in hotels or third party accommodation , no refunds will be made once payment of the balance has been made. Provided all monies have been paid we will not cancel your holiday unless we are forced to do so due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, or because the minimum number of bookings needed to operate a tour has not been reached. In this case participants will be notified of the cancellation as soon as possible. If the tour is cancelled we will, if possible, offer an alternative but if this is not acceptable all monies paid to us will be refunded without interest. We will NOT pay any compensation or be liable to reimburse you for any other expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking such as non-refundable travel etc.

Weather and Force Majeure

We ride in the mountains where weather conditions can be unpredictable. Tours will run in all weather situations, unless we deem it too dangerous to ride. We cannot give refunds if weather conditions are unfavourable. Neither will we give refunds if we have to cancel or change your holiday arrangements in any way because of war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, disease, adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may amount to force majeure.

Age Restrictions. Bookings can only be accepted by persons over 18 years.

Marketing. Photographs, likenesses or images of guests taken on any of our Tours may be used by us without remuneration in all media for promotional or marketing purposes.

Data Storage. Your personal contact details will be held electronically if you do not agree with this, please cancel your reservation now. No credit card/debit card/PayPal details are stored with Fugieres. Your details will only be used by us, they will not be passed to any third party.

Falsified Bookings. Any booking obtained under false pretence will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.

Disputes. We will strive to make your holiday enjoyable, but in the event that you are unhappy with any aspect of it please speak to us about any problem as it arises in order that we can try to resolve it with you. Any formal complaint must be in writing and received within 10 days of your departure date. We will make every effort to resolve all complaints but should the matter be referred to court then these terms and conditions will be referred to. Any dispute arising will be dealt with by a court in England and Wales and not in the country where the holiday took place.

WiFi in properties

Wifi is provided in MOST BUT NOT ALL of our properties. If you require WiFi please check to ensure that your property has a WiFi connection before making the booking. Where WiFi is provided it is offered as a free complimentary service by the property owners. Please note that we do not have any control over the owners/service providers contracts and as such we cannot guarantee it is a service. If the Wifi is not working or fails for any reason during your stay, please let us know and we will try our best to rectify the problem and get you back online, but due to the slow response time of service providers in France it is not always possible to resolve connections problems quickly and as a result during your stay. As WiFi is provided as a free complementary service, no refunds will be given in the event of that service being unavailable

Supported Cycling Holidays /Tour Reservations

We provide accommodation in various properties and in twin, triple and single rooms, some of which, but not all are en-suite.
Prices are per person and are based on a shared room. If you are travelling alone and are willing to share a room (with a person of the same sex) subject to a share being found no supplement is payable, if you wish to have a room to yourself a supplement of 250EUR is payable and will be included on your booking schedule. The single supplement only guarantees a room to yourself and in some cases you may have to share a bathroom with other guests. We also provide storage for your bikes/sports equipment at our accommodation. All such equipment must be stored in the designated area and is left at your own risk, we do not accept liability for any damage to or theft of items left in our accommodation which includes garages and bike stores. In addition to our own property we also arrange Tours which include stays at other accommodation including apartments, chalets and hotels. In such cases we may not be responsible for the allocation of rooms or the maintenance of the property, if any problem or complaint should arise please notify us immediately and although we cannot take responsibility for any such matters we will immediately pass on your concerns to the appropriate person.

Insurance. Cycling can be dangerous and all clients are required to be covered by an appropriate insurance policy. You will need to provide us with your insurance details before you are able to ride with us. We recommend that your insurance is taken out at the time of booking. Some insurance companies stipulate the wearing of helmets we recommend wearing helmets at all times, all our guides wear helmets.  If you choose to ride without a helmet we take no responsibility for the consequences!

Ability. We assume that clients have a good understanding of their own abilities and we will discuss with you on arrival a suitable programme of rides but clients must make their own judgements as to their ability and ride entirely at their own risk even when on accompanied rides.

Transfers and Guides. Our transfers and programme of rides may include uplifts and travel in our vehicles. Clients travel in our vehicles at their own risk and we cannot accept liability for injury or damage to your equipment including your bikes. The guiding qualifications held by our UK guides are not currently recognised by the French Authorities and so we do not charge for guiding services. Accompanied rides and vehicle support are included free of charge and no refunds will be given if for some reason we are unable to offer those services.

All music devices, or hands-free mobile sets are banned on our rides, for safety and social reasons, sorry!

Self Guided / Self Catered Reservations

Holiday Rentals and Third Party Accommodation. In addition to our own property we also arrange holidays at other accommodation including apartments, chalets and hotels. In such cases we may not be responsible for the maintenance of the property, if any problem or complaint should arise please notify us immediately, and although we cannot take responsibility for any such matters we will immediately pass on your concerns to the appropriate person and attempt to resolve the problem for you.

Our prices include the basic cost of accommodation, facility charges such as heating and a one-time bed linen setup. Towels are not provided unless included on your booking schedule.

There may be occasions when facilities at a property are not available, for example the breakdown of a kitchen appliance (dishwasher/washing machine etc) in these circumstances we will make arrangements for the repair to be carried out as soon as possible. Please note that no refunds will be given in the event of that facility being unavailable.

Where appropriate we shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times on reasonable notice for the purpose of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance. Property rentals commence between 4 – 7pm on the day of arrival and end at 10am on the day of departure. If you do not depart on time a late departure fee of £100 will be deducted from your security deposit. Our housekeeping staff start at 10am prompt please do not embarrass them by still being at the property. Please observe these times as access to the property will not be possible outside of them.

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stated on your booking schedule and we reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.

No camping cars, caravans or tents are permitted in the grounds of any property.

Where parking is available at the property vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only, no parking is permitted on any grass lawn and parking is at the owners risk.

No pets are permitted at our properties.

Smoking is not permitted at any of our properties.

You agree to take all reasonable care of the property and its furniture and fittings and to leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning. You will be responsible for the cost of any damages, breakages, losses and any extra cleaning or repair costs which are incurred due to non-compliance with this condition. Fugieres will make a deduction from your security deposit to cover any such costs.

Use of any fireplace is to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and left clean after use.

Security Deposit. A security deposit of 300EUR is required for reservation of the property. This is paid as part of the balance payment for your holiday. The security deposit is fully refundable on departure, provided the following provisions are met:

No damage is done to the property or its contents.

No charges are incurred due to illegal activity, or services rendered during the stay and all charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. All rubbish bins are emptied to the public rubbish bins outside the property.

All dishes are washed and put away and the dishwasher and fridge are emptied.

All linens are removed from beds and placed together for collection.

No linens are lost or damaged.

All keys are returned. A charge of 25euros is made for each lost key.

No early arrival or late departure.

The renter is not evicted by the representative of the owner or the local law enforcement.

Written Exceptions. Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.

Insurance. We recommend you take out travel insurance for your trip. We recommend that your insurance is taken out at the time of booking.

Online Shop Terms and Conditions


We are a French registered business and whilst all contracts are conducted in English by entering into a contract both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.

Orders must be paid for by credit card using Paypal or Stripe.

When purchasing online, once the basket is validated, you must agree to these Terms and Conditions, choose the address and mode of delivery, and finally validate the method of payment, this last step formalizes the contract of sale between us. 

Any order implies acceptance of the price and description of the goods. Any dispute on this point will occur in the context of a possible exchange and guarantees mentioned below.  We reserve the right to change at any time any details of the items on our website, including prices, colours and sizes. All products are offered subject to availability.  Goods are described and presented as accurately as possible, but no liability is accepted for any errors or omissions if they have occurred.  Photographs of goods are not contractual.

We will acknowledge receipt of your order upon validation by sending an email.  In case of the unavailability of any product ordered you will be notified by email.

We will keep you fully informed of your order status via email to despatch.


Product prices are exclusive of delivery charges. The amount of delivery charges will be specified on the order before the order is confirmed.

We will dispatch your order within 7 working days of receipt from our locally sourced printers. Any delays above the 7 days will be communicated to you via email. If you are staying in the area then you are welcome to come and collect the item. Please contact us via email to confirm. Collection is only available by prior agreement.


All products supplied in Europe may be returned EXCEPT those excluded by law and bearing a statement to this effect, or goods which have been a built to your order. 

To cancel an order you must inform us in writing either by post or email, within 15 days of the date of receipt of the goods. Please quote your order number on all correspondence. Goods are provided to you on approval and legal title to the goods will not pass to you until the 15 days post-delivery period has expired. On receipt of the returned goods, we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange/credit as required. The contract in respect of sale of goods between us and you requires that you return the goods to us on cancellation. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please look at our Returns policy for details of how to return goods to us.We will reimburse you as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days after the returned goods were received by us and, subject to the conditions mentioned above. Any reimbursements will be minus the cost of OUR ORIGINAL postage  COSTS to send it to you.Reimbursement will be made ​​via the payment method used for payment


You have a right to return non custom made goods within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of receipt. During this time, you may return the goods without any reasons, or penalty.  The cost of returning the goods is your responsibility. 

You also have a period of fifteen (15) days to request an exchange. The cost of returning the goods is your responsibility. You will then have to pay shipping on the new exchanged goods unless the original goods were faulty.

When you return an item to us please be aware of our requirements, all  goods must be intact with all tags and labels in place, complete, in the original packaging. We recommend returning your order using a traceable method as both you and Cycling Tube Maps can track the return if there are any problems Take every care to return the item in packaging that will offer adequate protection to the goods.


We are a French registered company and our prices are in Euros. The price takes account of VAT where applicable and any discounts applicable on the date of the order, prices are exclusive of delivery charges. The amount of delivery charges will be specified on the order before confirming the order.

If you’ve ordered from outside of the EU, then you may be liable to pay import duties.


Any item bought in the sale is non refundable and non exchangeable


All products for sale on the website are guaranteed in accordance with the Consumer Code (L211-1 and following of the Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (Article 1641 of the Civil Code), allowing the User to return the Products which are delivered defective or nonconforming..  


All material accessible on Cycling Tube Maps is protected by copyright. You may view the website pages on screen and print or download extracts of them for your own personal use. You may not make any other use of any material on the site. No part of this Website may be reproduced, transmitted to, or stored on any other website in any other form of electronic medium without our express written consent.


To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties in relation to the website. We do our best to keep our site up to date but cannot guarantee that the site and its contents are completely free of technical errors, viruses or anything else that may have a harmful effect on your computer or any technology. We have no liability to you in contract, tort or otherwise for any loss cost or damage (whether indirect, consequential, or otherwise) suffered as a result of your use of the website or from use of information passed through the website, even if we are aware of the possibility of such loss. Additionally, we shall also not be liable to you for a breach of these terms and conditions or a failure to perform if the delay or failure is due to a cause beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price paid for the goods supplied by us to you, together with any postage costs incurred.

If any part of these terms and conditions is unlawful, void or for any other reason unenforceable, then that provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any of the remaining provisions. Also, if we fail to enforce a right under these terms and conditions, we retain the right to enforce any other rights, or the same type of right at a later stage.

No part of these terms and conditions are enforceable by anyone who is not a party to them.
