Étape du Tour accommodation in a 120m2 Crest-Voland mountain chalet apartment at the base of the Col de Saisies
Make the Étape du Tour about the ride, not the logistics. This small-group package gives you a comfortable chalet base, home-cooked breakfast and dinner, and the two awkward trips of race weekend (collecting your race number and getting to the start line) taken care of.
The chalet sleeps up to seven guests and has two bathrooms. I will be staying in the chalet with you, so there is someone on hand who has lived in France since 2008 and knows the roads, the local rules and how race weekend really works.
What is included in the package
- Five nights in a mountain chalet (shared rooms, two bathrooms) 2 x double beds and one room with 1 double bed and two twin beds
- Breakfast and dinner every day, from Wednesday evening to Monday morning
- One trip to collect your race number plus a drive of most of the route on the Friday
- A shakedown ride of the final climb the Col de Saisies on the Thursday
- A drive to the start line on race day
Package price from €900 per person (shared room).
1 x Triple room 3 beds x €900 (one double bed with two single beds max 4 people)
2 x Double rooms 1 double bed cannot be separated (€1000 per person) – single supplement €400.
Reserve your place with a deposit
This product is for the deposit only: €250 per person. It secures your place in the chalet. We will invoice the balance 10 weeks before the event and will confirm the payment date by email.
Places are limited to the number of beds in the chalet, so please contact me first and then book one deposit per guest.
Optional extras
These are not part of the deposit. We will add them to your final invoice if you want them. Please include them in the notes section on the order form
– Single room supplement: €300
– Geneva airport return transfers: €100 per person at sociable hours, €150 per person at unsociable hours
– Bike hire (4 days): €300, available to guests only. Bikes are set up for the mountain with a 11-36 rear cassette and 50-34 compact chainset. A separa invoice for 150 Euros will be sent to you to pay now.

The 2027 edition of L’Étape du Tour
L’Étape du Tour de France 2027 takes place on Sunday 11 July 2027, from Cluses to Les Saisies (154 km, 4,850 m of climbing). Our Crest-Voland chalet is a short distance from the finish, so once you cross the line you can ride down the mountain to your bed.
What is not included
– Your Étape du Tour race entry. Entries sell out quickly, so register with the organisers as soon as registration opens.
– Flights and travel to the chalet, unless you add a Geneva transfer
– Lunches and drinks other than those served with dinner
– Travel and personal insurance
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to have my race entry before I pay the deposit?
I recommend it, because entries are the first thing to sell out. Contact us before paying if you are still waiting on a place.
Can I book for a group or as a couple?
Yes. Book one deposit per guest. Let us know in the order notes who you would like to share with.
Can I Book for less than 5 nights
Yes you can but the price will remain the same. I highly recommend arriving as early as possible to acclimatise to the mountains and the altitude. We will also be doing a shakedown ride on the Thursday of the final climb plus a route review by van on the Friday.
Can you collect me from Geneva airport?
Yes, as an optional extra. Send us your flight times and we will confirm whether they fall in sociable or unsociable hours.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Unfortunately you will loose your deposit paid and once the final balance is paid no refunds will be offered. Please make sure you have travel insurance to cover your cancellation.
