Cycling Alpe d’Huez in January – and off to Andalucia

Well with temperatures rocketing to 6 degrees centigrade in the vallee on new years day I tackled the Alpe d’Huez climb for the 31st consecutive month. Helen met me at the top and we stayed up there for a few more hours to go skiing.

I have also booked my flight tickets to Andalucia Spain for next week  for a week of riding and exploring the roads of the Sierra Nevada National Park. I am particularily looking forward to climbing the Pico de Veleta which at 2600m is the same height as our very own Col du Galibier in the Oisans.

You can join us at the end of March for a week long stay in Andalucia with guided rides and food included. You can also get your L’Etape du Tour Act 1 and La Marmotte 2011 entries as part of this holiday.

I will be blogging everyday while I am in Spain with photos and ride descriptions and also describing how my training is going for La Marmotte 2011 and our week long L’Etape du Tour holiday in June.
