August 2020 – Bourg d’Oisans is ideally suited for riding – and there is much more to do than Alpe d’Huez just across the river. I stayed in the b&b, which is located just a minute or so’s walk from the shops and restaurants. It was a bit odd, as I was the only person there, following the UK’s recent decision to quarantine people travelling from France, but Helen and Phil were very welcoming hosts, and the breakfasts were certainly a great start to a day’s riding. I sincerely hope that when the Covid panic finally dies down, things return to normal for More than 21 Bends.
