September 2009 – Cycle Tour – In life you come across things that are just right. The set up that Phil and Helen run at Tour d’Oisans is one such. Their flexible and friendly approach provided the perfect base for my col climbing week. Brilliant, glorious, scintillating, superb and supreme, the place deserves a 6 star award. I was concerned that my age/steel bicycle/CTC touring background would not fit in with testosterone fuelled youth on plastic bikes but it did because of what Phil and Helen provide and the way they provide it. And hey guys what about that included leg massage. I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep. A return trip is a forgone conclusion.
