L’Étape du Tour 2027 Route: When Will We Know?

A comment this week, and a thought about 2027

Someone left a comment on one of my Étape 2026 video this week. Not about the climbs or the cut-offs. They thanked me for honest, down to earth advice for the average rider, the one who just wants to finish, not the one chasing a top 100 place.

It got me thinking. A rider like that does not need a coach or a race plan. They need someone honest in their corner through the long build-up, and a few others in the same boat. So that is what I keep coming back to for 2027. Not a training programme. A cohort. A group riding towards the same day, together.

Here is the useful, boring bit. I had a guess at where the 2027 route goes in this week’s video. Fun to speculate. But an educated guess is all it is. The course is only revealed when ASO presents the full Tour route, and that lands in late October 2026. So this week, put “Tour route reveal” in the diary for late October. The exact day gets confirmed nearer the time. Until then, anyone selling you a 2027 Etape du Tour holiday is guessing, me included.
