Todays ride from our base in Bourg d’Oisans started with the famous 21 bends of Alpe d’Huez before heading over the Col de Sarenne to the base of the Col du Lautaret. The 30km ascent of the Col du Lautaret was tough but once at the top it was a 28KM descent to our overnight stay in Briançon.
Photos from day 2 of our Alpe d’Huez to Italy tour are below. We also had a new fastests womens time up Alpe d’Huez by Victoria Veitch (Australian national road and time trial champion) in 54.27 minutes. Incidently she has hired a PROMPT D211 road bike for the week as well
