Photos from our recent trip over the Col d’Izoard We cover the eastern climb on our Alpe d’Huez to Italy tour and the western climb on our Marmotte Big Col Tour.
We started in Valoires today as part of La Marmotte Tour took in the Col du Galibier from the north before heading down the Col du Lautaret for lunch in Briançon. After a fantastic lunch in Briançon a few of us headed up the Col d’Izoard before returning to Briançon and our overnight stay.
We are taking a short trip back to the UK in April and I have entered (what would have been one of my local sportives) the Cotswold Spring Classic on easter monday. I will be using the long distance route as part of my training for our forthcomming 2011 cycling holiday season here in Bourg…
We took our 7 Australian guests upto the Col de la Madeleine (part of our Marmotte Big Col Tour) today to watch the Tour de France go by.
After our rest day on day 4 we left Briançon for Les Deux Alpes via the Col du Lautaret.
