Todays ride took in part of the coastal road (Ruta Turistica) to Almunecar before turning off right at about the half way point to the small village of Jayena just before the Sierra de Almijara. The 115km route (it would have been about 105km I took a wrong turning on the way back and ended at a motorway junction) took just over 4 and a half hours to complete on mostly rolling hills. The highest point being at just below 1400 metres above sea level. A tough day out made equally hard by the crosswinds and the fairly exposed nature of the terrain.
