Its not long now until the Paris Roubaix Challenge and I finally got to practice on some cobbles near us in Grenoble. It was a fairly small section just over 10 metres long – pretty straightforward not sure what all the fuss is about really ! Mind you they were a lot flatter than the real ones shown in the photo below. The actual Paris Roubaix challenge has over 50 km the legendary cobbles and I am pretty sure the novelty will wear of very quickly.
I will be competing in my first Paris Roubaix Challenge after cycling from Bourg d’Oisans the week before as part of my Bourg d’Oisans to Bespoked Bristol ride. From 2014 we will be offering a full on Paris Roubaix weekend for you to ride and watch the event.
